Ultimately, President Trump cut Gary Cohn out of one of the final meetings, and the administrations’s loudest free-trade voice quit days laterhttp://on.wsj.com/2De1NJq

There are many issues that make USA uncompetitive. Tariffs alone can't fix all of this. It is like putting a bandage over deep festering wound that needs debridement. I hope Trump looks at other reasons for US industries not being competitive and address them.

Gary Cohn is a good person, but unfortunately free trade has become bad trade for America. If it was truly free trade the US would not have this huge trade deficit.

A troubling weird practice by this admin - cutting people out. Kushner met with Mexico and cut our ambassador out. Ivanka cuts SecState out.

Now Trump is exempting everybody. Mexico, Canada, Australia are exempt. Trump is such an incompetent clown.

I have been supportive of many of Trump's policies but this is a huge mistake. I genuinely don't think he understands how tariffs work. Whatever gains I would have benefited from by the tax cuts will be nullified by this decision. The stock mkt will "respond" negatively as well.
