The U.S. imports all of its bauxite, feedstock for aluminum. The lack of a tariff illustrates the flawed logic in Trump's Section 232 trade actionhttp://on.wsj.com/2tsaZdw

The country who is most self-sufficient survives. We can import different elements of steel, but keeping production & sufficient reserves on hand is imperative to every countries'welfare. Remem Mex stopped selling us limes?Let's avoid that possibility with steel! @realDonaldTrump

So stop making cakes unless u produce vanilla extract? We will get there too, or we won't.If others can import an element from Ghana then we can too. Also, producing steel means we have supplies on hand &a means for production if we ever needed to rep on ourselves. @realdonaldtrump

Great article! Relying on domestic steel is against our national security interest because it will further deplete our scare iron reserves. America must use imported steel for manufacturing and preserve our existing iron reserves for defense.

Great article! If other companies raise the price of bauxite, it will nullify Trump's aluminum tarrifs and ALL aluminum will be more expensive and everyone will pay more for products that are made with aluminum.
