Can you tell the difference between a frog and a cricket? Neither can most people, it turns out. http://on.wsj.com/2G9K3BZ pic.twitter.com/NxScgHSgOb

One is an amphibian, the other is an insect. This is the major difference.

Where I live many people confuse crickets, spring peepers and tree frogs. Not a surprise, they all chirp.

there is such a disconnect with most city people. we know all about animals, insects, birds, mice, rats and wild life having to deal with them every year. coming soon will be our tick season. hope i dont get bit this year but never had a year i didnt have that happen.

A frog is the hollow on the top of a brick, and a cricket carries a tiny umbrella.

A frog croaks, a cricket whistles. A frog will grow bigger and old, a cricket remains tiny and loud. Frog croaks when it is damp and water is upon the land. A cricket whistles in the evening most oftentimes at sundown. Based on my Caribbean connections. They are all cool.
