Always thought that Toys R Us will reinvent their business model like bookstores. Toys are kids... How about kid friendly toys place with coffee place for parents? Kids can order toys they played with and liked really

I wonder how many small independent toy shops were broken by new business models ?

Shame, but I see little traffic in the one near my house and even during the holiday time. I’ve only been in there once in 5 years. The layout was so poor I couldn’t find my way to the cashier without frustration. Easier to go to Target.

call me a grinch, but great! I know so many kids who have literally hundreds if not thousands of toys, most of them crappy plastic ... things! What is the point, if not to condition one to consume mindlessly for the rest of one's lifespan?

We're getting close to the point where it will be easier to name the companies that are not folding than the ones that are.

Toys R Us is going out of business because their customer service and culture is terrible not because of ecommerce or iPads.

Americans have become lazy, it easier to shop using your tablet or phone instead of supporting local businesses. They are important for the health of local communities.

Too expensive. Why? There's no reason. Toys aren't a specialty. Not like they make them. Charge a competative price and they would survive
