When did the GOP become the party of protectionism, nationalism and demagoguery? What happened to common sense? This will hurt Americans and the markets. Trade wars kill job creation.

If they want to change all windows of a building, they will shout out" we gonna to tear down the whole building". Finally they reach a deal to change the windows.

Mr. @POTUS understand this action and why you did it. You said in your inaugural "I will not forget you." I admire u sticking to what appears promises. But, U.S. economy has moved on from the loss of initial processing of steel, textiles, etc. Keep an open mind. TY @SecretaryRoss

Imagine a 300 millions people economy, will we be a rich country as we are? Only worldwide economy would sustain the wealth of our nation. Our billionaires and millionaires will be decimated. Our way of life will be decimated. Protectionism does not work for all Americans.

What a circus. There's no way anyone in this administration is prepared to negotiate simultaneously every US ally to give and take on trade issues. That's a terrible idea.

If China needs to hit a 7% GDP growth rate and wants to borrow gobs of money to keep their steel industry growing and American companies and consumers take advantage of that by getting cheap steel, why shut off that gravy train? When your enemy makes a mistake, let them.

The first thing to be tariffed back will be on agriculture products which will hurt the farmers and fly over America who backed Drumpf and will be the first people that get hammered. @realDonaldTrump doesn't realize they will vote anti-Gop in midterms.
