Instead of raising wages which by the way is how you raise supply people do silly stuff like this. If can’t find workers it is because the wages are too low. This is just shifting the blame because Republicans are obsessed with calling others lazy

Maybe Wisconsin would have more money if they didn't throw it all at Foxconn.

$160 per month in food stamps / 120 per month work requirement = $1.33 per hour. Slave labor anyone?
-
They get paid for the hours they work, and get food stamps. Keeps them from making babies all day.
-
You're wrong. They don't get paid for the hours they work. Their "pay" is their food stamps.
-
These folks will earn at least the minimum wage determined by the state they are in. A company can not pay less than the minimum wage. Healthy people should be required to work if they expect government assistance which comes from the tax $ you and I pay.
-
I only know 1 person receiving $140 a month food stamps. She's not high functioning but isn't declared disabled. She "works" 40 hours per week & receives no pay from her "employer". Mayb she's listed as a volunteer. It's hard to get info from her but I'll ask next time I see her.
-
If food stamp recipients receive minimum wage for their hours worked in addition to food stamps I agree that the work requirement would be beneficial, as long as there's not a real issue preventing them for getting and keeping a job.
