        Japan used to manipulate currency exchange rates just as China does and still may. How can you say they play by the rules??

        Wouldn’t keep interest rates artificially low, which reduces demand for the dollar not be considered manipulating the currency? Isn’t that what we are doing?

        A little while ago there was another republican president who was also a business man that enacted lots of tariffs. In the end it didn’t work out that great for Herbert Hoover.
