Actually, I went to an Ivy league school. You have to graduate in four years or you get kicked out and you don't have to attend class unless there is an exam. I'm not certain why

Yes. They are paying five figures to go to these classes. Well, they aren't, their parents are. The point of going to Yale or Harvard is to get a great education so you can get a great job protecting people. Skipping class to protest makes you less equipped to really help.
