We had this happen in Northern IL. All it did was make rentals unaffordable. What used to rent for $1200/mo in the far suburbs prior to 2008 now rents for $1800+. That doesn’t help anyone who rents.

That is what slum lords do. Buy run down property's slap some paint on it and rent them out.

Don’t know what’s going on in Joisey causing folks 2 lose their homes, but we are talking about state where everyone lives within 20 minutes of at least 3 different malls. Maybe @amazon fault. Do they still make spray 2 get smell of Jersey out of clothes? #ThingsPeopleShouldKnowpic.twitter.com/aLkOxrVUNp
