This is because movies no longer need to be highly entertaining to win awards, just highly “woke”

This happens because movies are no longer for the people they are for the SJWs who try to run society and are offended by anything that differs from their own opinions ruining The most beautiful American form of art.

The deeper question is why this divide has developed? In part, the coarsening of Western culture has created a split between what is popular and what is good. The introduction of the "Blockbuster" movie in the late 1970s marked the beginning of this important change.

Creativity is in the toilet. Political agendas are pushed to a WW2 propaganda level. The obsession with making amends to all the so called oppressed groups has made restitution over the top. Class has been replaced with vulgarity. Style with sloppiness.

Ya it isn't about what's best, it's about what is most "progressive" - c'mon you knew that.

I'm reminded that Romero said he couldn't make a low budget zombie movie any more due to blockbusters hijacking the genre. The truth is that special effects have filled in for quality writing in a lot of cases.

Movies are not about what some leftist or crazy SJWs want its about the art itself, about praising the best of the best nd sometimes it isnt what most people like, and peolple sometimes likes thrashy things. Thinking that moviegoers even if they are millions can pass

Can pass over an expert is just ridiculous. Even if its also true that those experts in Hollywood have a strage agenda. Anyway its better to just go to see the Cannes festival or the Malaga festival.

This is not going to coax viewership. The people have spoken and this show's ratings will also be at an all-time low.
