        Over 40 years ago, hundreds of millions were allocated for school guards in New York City Schools. It became a rat's nest of nepotism with most guards being someone who "knew someone";totally incapable of physically guarding themselves much less the children. Same old. Same old!

        security fence, one point of entry, metal detector, armed guards. sounds like a solution. Israeli model has been used successfully for decades at their schools.

        double entryways.....some schools have them already.If the person makes it past the first set of doors by using force the people closest to the second set of doors are within fingers reach of alarm buttons,alarms go off classroom doors should close and lock

        My grandkids elementary school in TExas hill country has double entry,have to ring to get in after first bell sounds for the day,then have to show ID to get past locked set of second doors.
