How is New Haven these days? Still awash with unregistered weapons and divided by violent gangs?

This law in Connecticut is a reasonable way to address mental health but must be combined with an age limit (maybe 25 yrs) & assault gun banpic.twitter.com/1idXvnOXpW

@SenBlumenthal you must not visit CT very often, Hartford and New Haven are a mess. Why do you think the CT Gun Laws will work nationally?#GunControl#GunReform#GunRights#2A#2ndAmendmentThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Effect change HAS to be made. Expand data base to include hostile behaviors from all sources, quick and thorough. Permit required for AR’s including minimum age requirements 25yrs. EO, Agencies investigate all viable reports. It has to be bipartisan, stop the politics as usual...
-
a permit for an AR?!?!? LOL. if you really knew about guns, you’d know how absurd that is.
-
I know more than you might think. Whatever is proposed it needs full support. 80 million or so law abiding legal gun owners but it only took 2 this year to put the Focus on AR’s though both had mental issues, which is the root cause. Add an age reqmt or permit it might pass IMHO
-
getting a permit would be unconstitutional, which is why it’s neva been done befo’ no gun legislation will ever get full support
-
FYI in NY permit reqmt to buy and own a pistol which are all semi-automatic, you must provide 4 ref, not family members, fully vetted. No criminal/violence history. Each pistol must be registered & verified annually. It doesn’t stop illegals, slows them down, find middle ground.

Why not make mental health exams part of the background checks and require them every two years. A person may buy a gun 20,10 or 2 years ago and sadly 9 months ago starts a mental heath slide. The military requires ongoing mental heath exams! Otherwise we need a crystal ball.pic.twitter.com/MM2DR6zVuo

More blather from Sid Blitheringthal. His comments rate a "common sense" score of 'I wish I could find some'.

Lets see the FBI failed, Broward County Sheriff's Office failed, and the School Resource Officer failed. So we have another solution that will count on enforcement. How about we fix law enforcement first.
-
Or not let the NRA lobby for lax gun laws.
