Governor Scott and the Florida Republican controlled House and Senate should be held accountable as well! They failed to take appropriate action after the Pulse nightclub massacre. They all have blood on their hands.

He has been vocal and aligned with the Florida youth. He needs to stay in place and do what he said he was going to do, a complete and thorough investigation. Gov. Scott needs to let him do his job.

We’ll listen to this when these same folk take their own proposal and enact it at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave where incompetence & dereliction of duty have been occurring since Jan 20, 2017pic.twitter.com/dlQ4B3V9dU

Scott and those 70 legislators should resign first.

It appears the people are pointing at the wrong people. Why did this tragedy occur? Because a mentally ill teen was able to legally buy a powerful weapon with no checks. THAT is the problem..blame crooked politicians who the NRA pay off

Not only that, @FLGovScott, but this is a borderline criminal situation and someone needs to replace this guy IMMEDIATELY.

How about also getting rid of the governor who signed 5 pro-gun bills in his first term alone???

How about @FLGovScott Rick Scott resign, since he signed more pro-gun legislation in one term than any other Florida Gov?? And @marcorubio too for selling out.

If anything governor Scott should be the one resigning for the law he was about to push the day after the massacre

Okay..but the deputy in question did nothing different than what the officers first on scene at columbine & colorado did. They didnt enter before backup arrived. In fact columbine waited ages & then took hours clearing rooms before they reached the actual carnage.

he himself declared that the deputy named Scott Paterson did nothing to stop the shooter. If he’s being penalized because he’s the police boss then gov should also resign by this logic, he’s the state head and thats what he provided in name of security. Why police chief alone?

Resign? How about fire his sorry ass...does he deserve a suspension with pay? NO...benefits? NO His lack of leadership failed this community. He doesn't deserve to live a comfortable life after this. He has a greater power to answer to, let him try.

GOP needs to be retired for dereliction of duty for voting in some of the most lax gun laws in the nation.
