A fractured media landscape and polarized politics means there may never be another Billy Grahamhttp://on.wsj.com/2CeOool

Good. Billy Graham was a horrible person. He definitely went to The Bad Place.

Most reasonable people might doubt that any one religious person should have any political influence at all, as religion is a personal choice and not fit for larger social context yes? Or do people actually insist upon forcing religious viewpoints upon the public now?

No religious leader should have anything to do with politics. Especially no "Christian", since they should know their leader and his followers wouldn't have had anything to do with human governments. Of course, they've read that: John 17:14 John 17:16 John 18:36 Gospel. Huh...

That's not a personal opinion - that's in black and white, in every trusted translation.

I have faith that a new generation will learn from the past while taking his place. It is like asking if there will be another Walt Disney or Henry Ford.

God always places people in our lives who make a difference. We may not recognize it as such but it doesn't make it any less true.

Billy Graham will be next to impossible to replace; especially with a sidekick like George Beverly Shea. But we could certainly use such a reasonable, respected voice of peace in these trying times. Would be nice for @POTUS to emulate Billy.

He came into public view before the church became so closely tied with political causes, when evangelism and discipleship were ends in themselves. A lot of things would have to change for someone like him to emerge again.
