Because teachers don’t have enough to worry about already

Seems like they would have less to worry about, knowing that they are armed, and therefore not just a target watching over 30 smaller targets. Most teachers are females, and females have that maternal instinct. Let them use it.

No one is saying they should be fully focused on guarding the door. But if a psychopath shows up to your kids school with a gun, and no one has anything to stop them with, you're going to have 30 dead bodies instead of 1.

Hire it out. Pay someone. The airlines do it. Ex military. Let the teachers teach

I just don't think the severity has been reached to warrant such a solution. The media likes to hype up school shootings, but frankly the numbers don't lie and the numbers are pathetic. 298 dead since 1980. In context, 50m students current enrolled. 100m population increase too.

Picture this System of education...Teachers can shoot their students if they bother them and Students can shoot their classmates and teachers if they get upset . And Arms industries can grow bigger and stronger Spreading their “protection tools” in the World Don’t let this happen

And then next it will be the teachers themselves to shoot students

It's foolish to allow assault rifles under the pressure of Gun Lobby.Allowing teachers to carry guns is not even a band aid.Slow but steady public pressure to completely ban assault rifles for civilians is the solution. They can be allowed handguns.Value life over money

Having a gun as teacher because you have cancealed weapons permit and want it is completely different as in another universe, than arming teachers as some kind of solution to prevent gun regulations

Oh goody!! THAT makes EVERYTHING ok Now we no longer need background checks or assault weapons ban Although we should build mini gun turrets @ podiums of each class As WSJ lips makes a tighter ring around Trump's butthole, lets all vote for Mr. Burns in 7 years Excellent !

Dimwits. Teacher who shooting studens. What's next? We would arm medics, gardeners. What student thinks now? To kill is a legal. Armed teachers just approve this way of thinking! Oh so good, mass shooters will shoot their victims out of schools. But they stay a students.
