Seems like the amount of energy it would take to pick up the water And carry it to where it goes … not feasible. Are we talking megasized drones? That would be the way to go figure cross-section bigger payload

I'd assume they are more likely tracking the fire and finding paths to help people, pretty sure they still use planes and helicopters to drop the actual water
-
Sounds more likely yes. It’s amazing that all crime scenes art mapped 3-D using drones/ cameras . There are so many invaluable uses for drones one could probably write a book just on the uses
-
I actually run a small aerial photography company and that is a wonderful potentially revolutionary idea.. If you ever have any other amazing uses feel free to let me know :P

Well, maybe "monitoring" a fire ... but "fighting" it? Although I do look forward to drone aerial tankers able to autonomously find and extinguish fires, for example. Or perhaps use some super advanced frickin' laser beams?pic.twitter.com/Si7HNmRU6e

They do more than that. It depends on their payload. They even help farmers.
