big mistake. This is an adult problem. Kids need to focus on what they can control. Parents need to parent and take care of this mess.

The willful neglect towards human life we are seeing in our society is the result of lousy, ill-raised people breeding and having lousy, ill-raised kids. We are witnessing the decline of respect and humanity. And I wish more people could see that.

I'm with you. A generation of spoiled brats breeds and injects their materialism and selfishness into the worldview of their children, and we're all supposed to act surprised that so many people lack empathy. Boomers suck as a generation, big picture.

Those same kids voiced concerns over Nicholas Cruz. Their concerns fell on deaf ears. They watched him kill their friends. Cut them some slack. At least they are trying to be heard for some good.

Even if you manage to get something substantial passed (most shooters would pass mental health/background checks - so reinstating those won’t do shit), what do you plan to do with the millions in circulation? It’s not going to be easy.

One problem at a time, there's no single solution to instantly fix gun violence. Consistent progressive measures need to be implemented and it's not going to come from the top. This needs to be a public movement

Until ever state inacts measures, it won’t change. You might not be able to get weapons in your state but could just hop over the border and good luck getting Wyoming, Arizona, Montana, Texas, ect to get meaningful reform out.

I live near Chicago, this is the exact problem that most people who crap on Chicago for all the gun violence fails to understand. Indiana is right next to Chicago.

Pretty much. A single city can have extremely strict regulations but it doesn’t do much if a hop in a car can get you to any kind of gun you dream of.

Only thing is, and I think a lot of people forget this, the SCOTUS could be a legitimate barrier to anything that’s going to make any difference, at least if the 2nd isn’t modified.

For as big of a turd as he was in pretty much every way, Scalia apparently gave some opinions in favor of reworking gun legislation. Hopefully Gorsuch can get his head through the door whenever they reach a decision and make the right choice.
