Tech workers have said they left or plan to leave the San Francisco Bay Area because they feel people there are resistant to different social values and political ideologieshttp://on.wsj.com/2HttukY

Or, one’s social values and political ideologies are so repulsive that the most decent response is to politely ignore your rants - that way most cope with a crazy elderly in-law who spouts vile resentment towards minorities over Thanksgiving dinner....

What do they want? The right to be racist and sexist in the work place? How does your political stance matter in the workplace?

You claim these tech workers long for San Francisco’s conservative past? That would be...the early 60’s, before there was a Silicon Valley? Try again.

Believing in the idea of a mother and a father is considered radical in San Fran. Pushing smart people away

Nope. No-one is oppressing straight breeding people in San Francisco. Lack of affordable housing is hurting parents, but that is mainly due to them being displaced by...the onslaught of wealthy tech workers. So try again.

The fact that you used the words "straight breeding people" confirms what I am talking about hahah 😂 try normal next time

Just stating the non-bigoted obvious. Gays and folks w/o kids do not get hated on in SF as much as elsewhere. People come here to be themselves, to do excellent work in tech and elsewhere, and they come in droves.

Revealing that you believe a traditional family is most beneficial to raising children on an internal google message board can prevent you from getting promoted. I'd call that pretty bigoted

No, a gay family parent should not have to put up w hate at work. And Google rightfully decided they didn’t have to.

I mentioned nothing about gay people. A mother and a father are an essential part to raising a child. If a mom is sleeping with a new guy every weekend in front of her kids they are probably going to end up screwed up. The thought police at Google do not approve

If you're friends with Ann Coulter, most people are going to be resistant to your "social values"

I suspect that there are other factors at play. Los Angeles isn't exactly a bastion of conservatism.

Yes. After reading the article, that's the impression I got. Billionaires and/or venture capitalists do not change locations because their feelings are hurt.

Absolutely a great idea. Spread the wealth by moving to economically depressed areas of the country. You’ll be national heros.
