        Cup holders literally sell cars in the USA. Americans invented the drive-thru because you can’t go five miles without a 20oz coffee, a gigantic soda or some fries. This is not common in the rest of the world, including the nations who make the best cars.

        How about a cup holder that clamps the cup in place and when you reach to pick it up a sensor reduces the holding force so the cup can be removed.
