NHL wouldn’t allow its players to compete even though the players wanted to. Seems like an obvious result. And of course, the history, and not to mention the Russian ban and their newly found OAR. And it’s hockey, since when is that a peaceful sport?

And what about the recognition that the Americans helped to destroy the USSR and the separatism of the republics? Elections in 1996 when the times openly wrote about intervention, the war in Chechnya, when Chechen Mujahideen were called rebels? Are you white and fluffy.

I remember the night the tanks rolled on the Kremlin. What a fantastic night it was. This is proof that US sanctions on Russia work. Well, the negative Russian GDP growth is also evidence. Go USA. Scrub out the bad guys.

The U.S. is looking to Cornell alumnae to salvage its hockey-playing pride after the thrashing of its men's team (0-4) by the Russians.

Hey, way to take hockey game and turn it into something other than what it was. It is funny to see the ridiculous responses of your readers who obviously know jack squat about hockey.

Who cares? Canada would have crushed either of them with if NHL players were allowed to go. If diplomacy was decided through hockey, Canada would be the world's #1 superpower.
