Had he committed a crime up until that point? What legal framework existed to strip him of his weapons and lock him up? The idea that this was a Law Enforcement failure, and not a Legislative and Governance failure is comical.

That's basically what all these "It's the FBIs Fault" takes by Lawmakers and Governors are advocating for. If the FBI turned up to his house, seized his weapons, and locked him up w/o committing a crime, the GOP and the NRA would be crying bloody murder.

@FBI was too busy exposing “pay to play” (since when is that a crime?) in college basketball and trying to overthrow a president.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

This is what we get when an the finest investigative body in the world becomes corrupted from political correctness and the fear to speak up. Wray must go.

So much for “See something/Say Something.” Sounds like there were several tips - the call and the online report. Plus dozens of police reports. Have to wonder about FBI priorities if they can’t prioritize a possible school shooting. Time for a shakeup?

FBI repeatedly demonstrates incompetence. They missed this FL school shooting, the TX church shooting, the Boston Marathon Bomber brothers, the San Bernardino Christmas shooter, the Orlando nightclub shooter, Fort Hood and more. New leadership now.

School district personnel and local law enforcement agents were aware before the FBI. Let’s not be too hasty to blame the FBI, especially in an attempt to defend the pro-guns stance. There are rights and procedures involved, it takes more than tips.

FBI didn't follow up!!!!! Were no other law enforcement agencies involved? What about the local police? Blaming the FBI, who probably had thousands of other reports to follow up, is most definetly a political move.

If true, that is going to be a world of heavy guilt on these agents and/or managers who briefly held this tip.

Not violence but peace, USA has100 times the guns per capita (quoting from NYTIMES). Whats is/Why does a 19 year or 60 yearold need semi automatic weapon? Thanks. Yes the FBI should have followed up-but you’re missing the point-these guns shouldn’t be on the streets-a nineteen year old shouldn’t be able to buy a gun like that-
