Opinion: The Fed’s seemingly political punishment of Wells Fargo should cause shivers in bank boardrooms everywherehttp://on.wsj.com/2C9PPQt

Political? Did they or did they not encourage employees to manufacture fake banking accounts. Where is the politics in that?

It was pretty hard to finish reading the article when you start it by describing outright fraud as banking “blunders”. While I am no fan of Dodd-Frank and believe the CFPB should be abolished, Wells Fargo is getting everything they deserve.

Begs question of why do we have a fed? It has been a serial debaser of our once proud currency since empowered. When will we learn not to hand our national checkbook to politicians or apparatchiks (shiver). A possible answer by impeccably designed block chain technology.

Except, they are so guilty and deserve the punishment. It is actually rather measured considering the amount of fraud.

"Political punishment"? Wells Fargo repeatedly violated laws and abused its power. Fix that headline: "Justice" and long overdue enforcement. Bank boards have Trump in their pocket so not 'shivering'--but they should be. RU mafia will soon knock on their doors to get a cut.

Political or just punishment for stealing. If regular citizens get punished for stealing them so should companies
