Class warfare has failed miserably every time it has been tried in last 2500 years - why should it work this time?

Taxing them as they were under Eisenhower and bringing back inheritance taxes, eliminating the lid on Social Security Taxes would go a lot no way in leveling the laying field. Executives income should not exceed 10 times what the lowest paid employee makes.

Perhaps but, it seems, a war on the poor will help the rich.

The poverty rate was 17.3%in 1965, it was 15% in 2012. Trillions of dollars in government spending and efforts at redistribution have hardly improved the situation of the most destitute. The barriers are: family breakdown, low religiosity, low civic engagement, lack of education

Why would poor be upset w rich w record profits, pay 300x +their workers; US being 28th in income inequality; decades of stagnant wages?

The rich war on the poor doesn't help either. I suggest a luxury rent tax, luxury property tax, to fund public housing to give human dignaty housing to homeless. Now...let your poor little rich people argue against that. Argue well lest they come to argue with Madam Guillotine

Rather than a war on the rich let’s create opportunities for the poor to break the cycle of poverty they find themselves in. Entitlements entrap those who are not mentally or physically handicapped or minors.

So many apparently envious of the time we can all be equally poor, at the mercy of a benevolent government. Kind of like the lie the Venezuelan people swallowed when Chavez railed against the rich, and promised utopia. As long as I have opportunity I wish the rich no ill will.

The rich paying their fair share of taxes WILL help the poor!

The 'war on the rich' has never been about helping anyone. It's the cover for politicians stealing ever more money from the private sector.

That's because it's the poor who need to be the ones waging the war. The poor are asking politicians to work for them and cut off the milk from the tit that feeds them with stock tips and 10k plate "fundraisers".

Nobody wants a war. Just want the rich to stop hoarding cash. Does nobody any good to have the top 1% have 70% of wealth. Trickle down economics only works if the money trickles down.
-
When the top 1% are mostly democrats...

This is why your country is still divided... Not your fault though, it's every1s identity to have an political view, you can't change it, no influence can change it, no fact/fiction can change it (work similar on me also), only situation will, so GOOD LUCK
