Americans enrolling in college over the next decade would receive about $15 billion less in subsidies if House Republicans pass their education billhttp://on.wsj.com/2EMGBgc

This is a good thing. When college enrollment drops to non existent and they can no longer afford to stay open then maybe our broken higher education system will be fixed.

This is great news. Big education has been too long dependent on easy money and have no principles about raising tuition and housing beyond affordability. The system needs a market correction, and some swamp draining.

This is an important first step in getting skyrocketing college costs back under control.

Understand that the reason education costs skyrocket is because of increasing government subsidies.

Colleges & Universities have over spent in last 10 yrs on new buildings, sports. etc. Most colleges & Universities are in debt over 100 million dollars each. If not even more money.

Maybe I’m missing something but wouldn’t this disproportionately affect poorer Americans more than those well off.

These universities should cut their admission fees. Especially ones with huge endowments

I believe these kind of subsidies are good ways to bring in human talent to your country & boost the growth for well-prepared workers, independently from their nationality; it's a shame you considered it a debt instead of great opportunity for all the economically disabled people

Trump told us he loves the uneducated! I didn’t think he & @HouseGOP would make it even harder to afford college. What has happened to our country?

$15B less debt that will never be repaid. Student debt in this country is out of control and the high interests rates are robbery.
