As a retailer of 20 years, I have always believed in smaller shopping areas in local communities which introduce unique items. People want to support small, unique and personal items.

I wish it was true but its not. Smartphones have not made us smarter...definitely made us more lazy. I still get up and go to stores except Xmas time.

I love shopping centers. I wish they'd still build the mall style so I can go store to store in comfort! Eating a soft pretzel..Ummmmmm..

May look different...smaller & tech driven...but, people still like to gather to shop. For some, it’s a competitive outing; others it’s social; still others it’s fills the gap of loneliness/family. Food court w/small treats? Food & folks are synonymous.
