Stop trying to make sense of the stock market and accept that the one question every investor was asking on Monday has no answer: Why?http://on.wsj.com/2seWEjU

Why? lol because that is what a stock market does. It corrects itself, it reacts, it is a body of investors that runs with the crowd

Trump shouldn’t have dumped Yellen. She gave the market stability and kept the upturn going.

When younger, my Mother ran a greenhouse. Tending plants, you have to pinch the plant to make it stronger and enhance branching. This "down in the market" is a pinch needed to make a stronger market.

Why should an average american care about a ponzi scheme? About 50% literally have 0 in savings much less a #401k #ira #stocks the roughly 15% who have more than 10k in savings are in it because they were forced to. No pensions, profit sharing and soon social security for them.

No one knows "why". I love the WSJ but daily news attempting to explain market moves is poppycock and should be discouraged if not banned.

It could be the GOPs ridiculous tax cut for wealthy when the economy and the stock market were doing reasonably well spooked investors. Government is in the biz of creating bubbles - and if that cut doesn’t do the job, I’ll go back to eating Twinkies and white bread!
