Stop. Enough dramatization of this term. Stop regurgitating it to apply it to other eras/issues. Just report on corruption & expose it

Fake news started the Vietnam war, nothing to see if fake news lost it.

supporting a series of corrupt South Vietnamese dictators that did not have the support of the Vietnamese people, while claiming to promote democracy, along with a policy of ignoring the effects of Collateral Damage lost US the war.

The government knew years before Tet that the war was unwinnable.

Fake news does not win or lose a war. Political corruption and greed that drives fake news, partial news, and mostly paid advertising by military and business interests does. Vietnam's destruction, napalm, and agent Orange were not fake. Carpet bombing and B52 were not fake.

Boy did it ever. The war was won until Walter Cronkite said it wasn't. The left hates America because it operates on a theory that is wildly successful. The left's theory has been proven conclusively wrong every time it has ever been tried.

undoubtedly, as so many others minors or less dramatic events at those times of Cold War, around the world, that deserve a deep and insightful study

The US military won every major battle in the war. The lack of a military plan vs. a political solution lost the war If persistent military pressure was placed on the North they would have been driven to the peace table long before 72-73 as evidenced by Nixon’s bombing the North
