It does cause some anxiety and is scary, especially when releasing the pressure valve! Getting used to it I think. Great for soups and stews! I love my #InstantPot

Yes, I learned that after my second attempt. I now time my meals and allow enough time for the natural release. Works great on it's own and my meals have all come out delish!

We have a Mirro pressure cooker from the 1940s or 50s. Simple. Just have to use caution and replace the gasket once in a while.

Operator error, no doubt! We use ours several times a week...no issues...even using the quick release valve.
