The biggest con and money grab in history. People our govt is increasing yields on 10 year bonds to pay bills. Lower withholdings haven't even started yet. I cant believe people are talking about how good the economy is. Our kids will be paying off those 10 year notes.

Can't wait till someone reverts the tax plan back to how it originally was and takes credit for "Tough austerity measures to preserve America's future."

Don the douche will probably try to launder Russian money through the Treasury. As long as Mnuchin is on his team, nobody would question it.

Thanks for giving the 1% 85% of the tax plan money: NOW we owe a HUGE deficit to pay back over decades.

We are really supposed to believe that one of that the wealthiest countries on earth can’t afford to pay its bills? If that is the case drastically cut spending, reduce headcount and salaries, and stick to a budget. Seems simple.

Or don’t blow a hole in the deficit for an unnecessary tax cut. They could have lowered the corporate tax rate to 23% instead of 20% and kept it revenue-neutral, but the GOP promised their donors 20%, and here we are in February with the government already running out of money.

Why not just reduce spending so everyone gets to keep more of there earned income?

What “earned income”? The wealthiest people in this country inherited their billions.

How does another's inheritance negatively impact anyone? The vast majority of the country get to keep more of there pay. That is a good thing.

Nope, because this will lead to cuts in programs for poor Americans, programs which their taxes were supposed to support, but instead are going to maintain the lifestyles of spoiled rich kids who live off their trust funds.

Again how does another's inheritance negatively impact anyone? Very few people have the trust funds you are talking about, and the fact they do isn't a fault of theirs. The average citizen is not rich less tax means more money for them which is a good thing.

85% of this tax cut is going to the 1%, and the GOP is already justifying the hole this is creating in the deficit to cut programs that many Americans rely on, & who dutifully paid their taxes on the promise those programs would continue, not get cut so trust fund babies pay less
