Remember when Tom Price, Trump's ex-Health and Human Service Secretary introduced legislation last May that benefited a health company he had invested stock in? Now Trump's CDC director caught for doing the same thing.

Fucking "Drain the Swamp" right? Keep using the ultra-rich to run public service agencies, it's working really well.👌

Why doesn't the headline include that she divested in Nov? Fitzgerald was a strong, moderate pick with a strong history on the health issues that could be related to these purchases.

If I were a candidate I would expect my investment portfolio be scrutinized. Why is that too much to ask for?

That's part of the issue. It was scrutinized. This admin has also hamstrung and sabotaged the Ethics Office. Fitzgerald did the right thing and divested without threat of penalty.

Fitzgerald should have never been considered. Never.

Fitzgerald's appointment was widely supported by health policy/issue advocates because of the efficacy of her work as Fulton County Health Commissioner; including increased efficacy of smoking cessation, childhood health, and HIV programming She was a good, moderate pick.

A Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention investing in tobacco which is responsible for millions on deaths. Trump trolls don't get it. They'll say anything to depend his appointees.

Ridiculous. How does anyone know, and why does the gov’t have a right to restrict her personal investments—unless that directly affects her job/ research.
