        It looks like the private schools who have a higher # of voucher students don’t have higher standards. Sounds like a money grab. A private school can be a for profit, privately run school & with vouchers regulated by GOV. Back 2 GOV. Right where it started.

        Perhaps voucher students with small low income populations do well because they are immersed in the culture of learning and discipline which fostered success by parents of affluent classmates. Low income families could replicate those behaviors and values in their own children.

        While stuck behind a paywall, curious if the article mentions how churches saw their collections during mass go down as vouchers went up. So basically the state became the dominant tither of the churches running these schools. http://nber.org/papers/w23159.pdf …

        Why must there be just one approach ? If competing methods available, allow all individuals opportunity to take advantage, and communities the opportunity to evaluate & improve. A continually improving result driven model is what ought to count.
