They are 100% right. Without a fast indictment & impeachment, America is not only a laughing stock, but a failure as a democracy.

You wonder whether democracy is working when America unleashes Trump on the rest of us.

Because of America's outdated "electoral college", our "president" was not elected by a majority vote. In fact, Hillary Clinton won that vote. Until this anachronism is the US system is done away with, we won't have a democracy.

Both unregulated & over-regulated capitalism can threaten democracy. This would only happen if left/right extremists get their way. If our government remains centrist and regulates when necessary without overreaching, our nation will continue to thrive. #centrism #checks #balance

That would apply, except the previous admin. was hard left. If you want centrist policies, your goingvto need to support GOP for a few years before things even come CLOSE to balancing out. We just had eight+ years of Democrat dominance.

I support both parties, always have. There are issues that I agree/disagree with on either side. Christopher Wray is not running a corrupt FBI.

No, but James Comey was, and the cleanup hasn't even started on that. So like I said, the new guy has some proving to do before I buy that he can run and aboveboard agency. I'm betting he will, but as things stand now we're embroiled in the FISA controversies

Capitalism is not capable of supporting a society for the long term. It is great for getting it up and running, but at some point your society is going to evolve to a point where you need to provide for everyone because mechanisms for them to do it themselves no longer exist.

You're right. You need a mixture of capitalism with some social programs. Which is most likely why the US has lasted this long.

Yep, but as technology eliminates jobs, we need more or better social progams to fill in the gaps. We have more houses here than people yet we have homeless people & grow enough food to feed the world yet we have hungry people. Here are 2 areas that could use modifications.
