One warm summer night, Dana Musharbash popped the question to a man she had been dating for more than three months: 'What’s your last name?'http://on.wsj.com/2BvtwEu

Call me old-fashioned but if you don’t know the person’s last name then you are not “dating”

You're old fashioned. The new way is to only know someone by their old AIM screen names. My friend Ryan has been happily married to his wife xX_PunkGirl72_Xx for three years mow.

WTH did I just read? You can’t ask for a last name even though you ‘date’ someone for months...so you could potentially have sex with someone and only know there first name? (which is a booty call imho).

I’m a little older, that wouldn’t be dating. Also, why would you want education and job details and not a last name?

Could not care less... Why create such rules? Is this another SJW/feminist thing?

Even without a last name, social media and internet search tools can find almost anyone. It's kind of scary.

How hard is it to google: First name + phone number. 4 our of 5 times a last name will appear. When I was dating, I knew before the first date without having to ask.

Thank God I’m not single. Too many unanswered questions. Is he a she? Is it OK to ask for a name? What’s his mom making for dinner?
