Spoiler alert: it breaks down at minute 21 - just AFTER the end of the wash cycle but before the rinse cycle or spin, so they have to take all the sopping wet clothes out while the WiFi-enabled machine schedules an appointment with the nearest tech, who is booked til March 2024.

From minute 22-23, it shows someone in an immaculate overall holding up a diagnostic computer and recommending that they buy a new Samsung. Minute 23-60 is the new Samsung operating perfectly. Minute 60 is the machine catching on fire with the clothes still inside.

Samsung (for most of their product lines) is the Apple of the early 2000s. Lots of promises, lots of buggy crap that gets fixed iteratively only to cause additional issues but only if you want to pay for a brand-new machine in two or three years when the old one dies. Horribly.

It's a model that worked for a long time in South Korea because of the high turnover in product usage by Korean consumers. But the model doesn't fly when applied to things that aren't mobile devices or computer technology.

And, after experiencing it with multiple Samsung products that aren't the phones or computer components, I don't buy Samsung ANYTHING if I can possibly avoid it.

There may be people out there who watch this in sheer disbelief that my description of it is not, in point of fact, accurate. I certainly would be one of them, and not a little suspicious that the producers perhaps spliced footage to obtain a 66-minute uninterrupted wash cycle.

I may be exaggerating, but when the appliances repair facility most recommended by Next door/Angie's List appliances in our neighborhood just laughs when asked if they can fix a Samsung appliance for less than the cost of a new one, that tells you something.

Are the clothes left wet at the end? If so, the lack of a satisfying resolution can only hurt the film.
