Honestly, the only thing the pope lacks is the white hood to go with his white gown and a tiki torch too. Catholic church's involvement with colonialism has one of the worst human rights abuse records in history. Residential schools in Canada just one of their examples.

This is why I left the catholic faith. And I went to Cath School from kindergarten through college! I can’t deal with the hypocrisy and coverup.

This is a huge problem! This Pope has been incredibly forward thinking. I wish he’d say more re why he made this decision.

It's hard, even for Pope to get away from that perk of Catholic high office.

The priest Barros covered for was accused of rape / sexual grooming / sexual assault by multiple boys from the 50s. The Vatican knew all along because of detailed testimonies. They only sentenced him in 2011 cos he was also found to have been stealing money. That’s what mattered.

I had hope for this pope...what an utter disappointment. The community affected has all but completely lost faith in the church.
