A U.S. government shutdown won't be as bad as it sounds; critical services won't be cut, and many agencies will use existing funds to stay openhttp://on.wsj.com/2EXwWlG

A shame that #SchumerShutdown doesn't stop paychecks to members of Congress! Theirs should be stopped and NOT retroactively restored.

False. The shutdown wastes more money than it saves during a shutdown.

.@realDonaldTrump should heed his own words: “if there is a shutdown I think it would be a tremendously negative mark on the president of the United States. He's the one that has to get people together.” #TrumpShutdown pic.twitter.com/pqbGAQf1Tx

Won’t be as bad as it seems, at least as reported from your downy perch. In areas with huge government presence, contractors, small businesses that cater to govt employees, all feel the pain of shutdown. Contractors must explain to workers why some will work and others won’t.

Just so we're clear...over 100k reservists and Guard Members won't show up to drill tomorrow. Many rely on that drill check to make ends meet. Many took off from their regular work and now can't go back for the weekend. Average drill check 400-500 dollar. They won't get back pay

No its great news to shut down the US government, actually with this congress and President there is an argument the shutdown does leave the country better off.
