Don't be sad. Amazon was trying to rap Detroit. All Detroit city taxes of employees went back to amazon and not the city. It's bullshit

It's sad how corporations are taking advantage of cities. City tax goes to the services that corporation requires. Fire depts, police depts, infrastructure. They use those services but don't pay for them like everyone else.

All of these #American cities are fools! They're being subjected to #economic blackmail for a multi-billion dollar company that doesn't need #tax breaks. FOOLS!

Glad they didn't come to Detroit. Asking for years of abatements. Detroit has a city tax and the offer was all city taxes paid by employees went back to amazon and not the city. Complete scam. Rich get richer.

Because we all want a taxpayer money pit in our cities. And "jobs". Ya know a company that treats employees like dirt and vows to ruin every brick and mortar store they can find.

Amazon pays well above the norm for the community. Immediately drives up the cost of living in all sectors. Housing, especially. Long time residents get priced out over night. Be careful what you wish for.
