While I feel for them, they're still the PARENTS. Get your kids a simple flip phone, you know, for calls and texts. Why are parents afraid to nurture their kids?

Because they want to be their friends, and can’t say no

If you don't buy it for them and give it to them there is no issue

“Smartphones offer children greater independence, with apps that allow parents to locate them instantly.” Kinda like that

Simple solution. Don’t give your kids smartphones. If you NEED to be in contact with your child 24/7 a flip phone will suffice. I have two kids, ages 14 & 11. They don’t have phones of any nature.

You must be a pretty inept weak parent if you can’t control your kids.

I hate seeing kids with their faces buried in their phones 24/7. Concerns me to think how much less functional the next 1 or 2 generations will be.

Why don't parents take the power in their hands? If a parent giveth they also taketh. If that makes sense. (Assuming the child is a minor)
-
Are you a parent?

I do have the experience of being a former teenager. I would totally understand if my parents did something for my benefit. Probably after the fact, I must admit.

Well, speaking as a parent and seeing 4 kids through their teen years, this isn’t easy to manage.
