Is it merely coincidence that the last state flying this flag is also dead last in the country in median household income? Or could it be that bigotry, thinly veiled as heritage/culture, is really, really bad for business?🤔 Keep this "compromise", MS.

IMO #Mississippi will stay an economic backwater as long as it celebrates,on its flag,a war it LOST fighting to preserve slavery.Time to fold up the old flag & enter the 21st century. #MLKDay2018 #MLKDay

I don't understand the rebel flag thing. The only thing to rebel against is America. How is this not treasonous? How can a state flag have a rebel flag in it?

Because when enough white people do it it's socially acceptable. That's the only reason.

Slavery was an ancient, inherited institution practiced by all people from all four corners of the Earth. Slavery existed in the Union during the War as well. Nazism was a systematic extermination of particular groups of people. Any comparison lacks historical perspective.
