There is something absolutely wrong with selling this as helping people when you know its not about helping, but about kicking people who have nothing to the curb.

"Have you read the policy?" Yes, I have. And it's problematic. And you are naive if you think this is about delivering better healthcare, which is what Medicaid is meant to do. http://familiesusa.org/blog/2018/01/six-reasons-work-requirements-are-bad-idea-medicaid …

So this test is well worth doing and tweaking to make the dollars spent go further. So based on you giving me this link and the questions you raised show me you didn't read the Kentucky health plan section 1115 proposals that were approved.

Most will welcome the training and subsidies they continue to get during the transition of becoming self reliant. Most people don't aspire to stay poor and the transition period has always be unfair which this should help greatly so poor do get a leg up instead of being cut off!

Kind of like all those coal miners that were provided an opportunity to be trained in different thriving fields to make themselves employable but instead chose to cry "poor me" and collect their welfare?

Now that's the point of making it harder to just draw the benefits while doing nothing. This is just a test for now, let's let them tweak on it and see if it can work or has to be scrapped.

It's justvanother attempt to do any with programs that assist the poor.....just like drug testing welfare recipients was a bust! Tell politicians to take paycuts and quit frivolous spending to free up billions!!

Yes their midnight raises were not deserved. But Medicaid can't survive the way it is so this test has possibilities if corruption and abuse can be controlled but like allot of government run projects it's a big possibility it will fail. Not because it's a bad ideal tho.
