Catherine Deneuve is a great woman. Full respect to her and other French women for their courage to raise voice against mass hysteria.

A wonderful actress and a lady with class. Watch “The discrete charm of the bourgeoisie “ (with a great Michel Piccoli).

As I said before, the metoo movement is a laughingstock among most of the rest of the world.
-
Sorry to tell ya . It’s NOT !
-
Yes it totally is!!
-
Deneuve is right to a certain degree. But I won't say this movement is a laughingstock. Not every place is like Europe or USA. Some women in other countries suffer more from power abuse due to complicated and historical reasons. This movement gives them some courage to speak out.
-
Like women in the Middle East? A total stranger male can slap you around for not wearing a jihab, can you imagine how horrible. These women want freedom yet we have actresses here donning jihabs to show support of Muslims. Can anyone explain this too me, it’s insane.
-
This is an another topic concerning religious freedom. Here, the issue I wanna address is more on power abuse combining with sexual misconduct.

Finally some sanity and realization that this
#metoo
movement has gone too far. I am thankful that there are sane women brave and mindful enough to stand against this hatred and bigotry against men because for a man to bring forth this point of view he will surely lose his job.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Methinks Denuvue is showing her age. Her opinions belong with another era.

Isn't speaking more towards people in positions of power trying to flirt or hit on their employees or subordinates? That is harassment because if I say no my job would be at risk. Outside of that, it's how a man hits on you & the lack of respect for your no. Be my friend 1st then
-
The emphasis on the “insistent” part is frightening, it’s inciting to ignore the NO and rejection. I’m brutally clear from start on pushing back against any unwelcome approaches, only to have these idiots tell men to keep going against a woman’s will. Just sickening.

I dont think Mrs Deneuve understands what the
#MeToo
movement is... -
Yes she does. And she’s right.
-
She thinks Roman Polanski did nothing wrong. The same Roman Polanski the right have been excoriating for years.
-
I have not heard that. Terrible if true. But I do agree with the damage lumping all male advances as assault. It’s all insane too me.
-
It's true. She also believes that touching random women without their consent and surprising them with a kiss is totally cool. If you support her, then you can't call out the men in Koln, Germany who assaulted thousands of women. According to her, that's just flirting.
-
I never said I support her outside of her statement in this particular article.
