Pakistan has cleared its territory meanwhile US led NATO alliance is unable to control 30% of Afghanistan after 17 years. Trump administration have no better option but to put the blame of their failure on Pakistan to satisfy their tax payer.

What you need to understand is that Pakistan was de facto complying with US demands by supporting those terrorist networks. They are a cog in the wheel of the machinery to keep the war going. Cf. President Karzai telling of US helicopters delivering ammo to Taliban.

US trying to fool its own people. US miserably defeated in Afghanistan and it is Vietnam part 2 but cant admit lets pretend Pakistan the 2nd super power of the world defeated number one with may be few hundred fighters. Who believe this crap?

On the other hand - this might finally get us out of Afghanistan since Pak could shut down supply routes.

Didn’t say friends. Was referring to influence. I would rather the US have influence than China and Russian. Which is why I also believe #TPP pullout was a bad decision. When we retreat others fill the void.

we're not leaving a void either. We're withholding a portion of funding until they stop playing both sides.

I wonder why after 16 years #Americans think that #Kunnar, #Kandhar, #Kabul are inside Pakistan? All the terrorists are hiding there and these places are outside of borders of Pakistan.

Pakistan could call bluff and just say 'enough' and tell US no more supplies through its territory. Give US 3 months to wrap things up in Afghanistan and pull out. Trump has lost credibility at home and abroad.
