What a funky way to deliver "5G". Need a home box to convert to wifi? I'd say that's not the way its supposed to work.

Sprint is a heavy user of Samsung; in fact Sprint was using Samsung equipment when nobody else would a decade ago, launching Mobile WiMax with Samsung's base stations, followed by Samsung's LTE base stations. Verizon's using Samsung's 5G standard, different from China's 5G standard. In fact, Chinese can't build Samsung 5G network compatible equipment and phones. So you don't have to worry.
