So Church’s don’t pay taxes and will now also receive tax payer dollars to repair what’s literally considered “An act of God”... am I the only one that finds that funny?!

Maybe they should pay taxes on any any/all donations until they break even on the federal money...? You know, separation of church and state...

They pay $0 in taxes but now tax dollars are given to them?!

As with any non profit, they shouldn't be treated worse just because they are religiously affiliated.

I’m assuming this includes, mosques, temples, churches of Scientology, covens and any such that proclaims themselves a “religion”?
-
It's simply extending a benefit all non profits (excluding religious organizations) had to now include those religious organizations. They should all be treated equally, as if religious affiliation didn't exist.
-
So now churches have to act as all non-profits??

I don’t see anything wrong in that. Houses of worship is a sanctuary for a lot of disaster hit people would look to for prayer and comfort during times of trial from disasters.

Yeah, this is one of many reasons why I'm against the designation. However, you could do the same thing for employees of many charities, so it doesn't really discredit one more than the others.
