If getting a tax credit is the reason you give to charity then your giving for the wrong reasons.

This is just so false. Most Americans give because that is part of their upbringing and has nothing to do with a tax cut.

Average Joes don't contribute to get a tax deduction. They contribute because they care about the cause the charity is behind. Same should be for wealthier folks.

I like how you had to put the word "could" in your headlines. It "could" rain dogs and cats today to.

You’re coulda, woulda, shoulda fear mongering is getting ridiculous. Americans are the most generous people. They give from the heart. The ones giving for a deduction were simply avoiding taxes.

How is it "charitable giving" if it's taken from u by force?

Yes, and a decrease in taxes could increase charitable giving, too. What a bunch of pessimistic NYC jerks.

If you give less than $24k, in all cases you'll have more money to give under the new tax code. If youll have more than $24k in deductions, just itemize. Charities spreading misinformation to get donations, sad!
