99% of their movie is based on martial arts which Tamilians taught them more than 10,000 yrs ago (Read Bodhidharma, a Pallava King from Tamilnadu, India). They don't have nothing to show beyond

Noone give a crap. The movies are truly awful and China under its modern day dictators has been busy erasing most of its pre-communist culture.

Did you just say chinese culture?! Is it the same culture with one swinging dick in palace surrounded by a battalion of concubines, guarded by an army of eunuchs behind 30ft walls with everyone else living in shit? That culture?

The freedoms of speech, expression and criticism are prerequisites for the advancement of culture including movies. As long as China remains as a communist country, Chinese films will never be a rival to Hollywood.

It was weird when I saw a mediocre German film win best picture for a Chinese Oscar-like event then I did a google search and found out it was called the Silk Road International Film Festival so I guess they are secretly funding German films
