Publishers had decades to plan for this but they milked students because of a lack of alternatives but as technology has advance students today have a choice. So now they react, because their bottom line is being impacted. Sorry not the kind of industry I would help finance...

One of my Geology books was nearly 600.00. It was color, with a shiny cover and a DVD... IN 1991!? Textbook publishers are the contempo form of highway robbers of poor students with no choice. It should be illegal for textbook publishers to print anew each year.

And Students can use smart devices to copy materials purchased by libraries. So they can only sustain the cost of being no more expensive than a Students willingness to find a cheaper way. What will that do to the content creation in subjects that change every few months?

One of the biggest rackets known to Man. Has accounting 201 really changed that much in the last 50 years? Yet we seem to need a new text every year! How about an e-book?
