I have two great dogs but I could not respect any company that offered this as a benefit.
-
It’s a bit much, no?
-
I honestly can’t be trusted with too many dogs at work. Been to an editing place where there were like 10 dogs. I had to go around and pet them all. Seriously killed my productivity that day.

Omg this is one of our portfolio companies (
@mParticles). I could not be prouder!! -
Thanks!

It's very cool. And necessary! When I got my pup, I was up all night and delusional during the day for those first couple weeks.
-
Yeah, it is stressful. It’s really important to spend the time to get a new dog acclimated and we wanted our employees to be able to adopt a dog and not worry about anything else for a couple weeks. Plus there’s way more to life than work anyways :)
-
This is pathetic.

I'm empathetic to humans, that's why oppose abortion as well. Dogs are not on the same level as humans

OMFG. Well, as a manager, at least it would tell you who to lay off in the next round
-
I've never laughed at people losing their jobs before! I didn't read the article (I assume the pay wall applies), but in a nation without paid maternity leave, pawternity leave is a luxury.

How about we just have more PTO as a benefit rather than leave for specific events? What if I want to help my sister recover from surgery? BUT I think it’s wonderful that economy booming so companies can compensate more
-
Ok, but you missed my point. I’d love for companies to just give more PTO rather than for an event like getting a dog.
-
Well I agree with ya for sure.
