No financial settlement can heal emotional scars or re-establish trust. Parents must be hyper vigilant with coaches ,teachers, and anyone who wields influence and holds the public trust.

why did she accept the settlement instead of going public? that put her fellow gymnasts at risk . that would have been personal courage.

Yeah it’s all her fault. She’s definitely not courageous and only would be if she didn’t accept money @usagym paid to silence her. Stop your victim shaming, it’s disgusting.

There isn't enough money in the world to give to these poor abused kids.

This is a terrible act by a disgraceful person taking advantage of a young girl. But she chose money over standing up for herself and others in 2016. But now she speaks up? She should now donate $1.25mil to sexual abuse prevention and rehabilitation.

Think about all the billions spent every other year in the world to silence people, whether for settlement hush money or to make the victims feel like the problem by assassinating their character.
