So Trumpanzees are content with THEIR getting temporary peanuts, and the wealthiest receiving a permanent 7-course banquet......all based on the economic fantasy of trickle-down economics....

Way to go GOP dirt balls. Homeownership correlates with many positive things for individuals and families. Remember the American dream ???
-
Artificially inflating home prices via the tax code is not a good thing.

This article is ridiculous. As a Realtor, I have never once had someone buy a home for the tax write off. It also affects a very small part of the population. The average home price in the US is 1/3 of the price this bill affects.

So home prices expected to go down and y'all are mad.... ? Why does the govt have to incentivize buying a home? Anger doesn't make any sense here.

Why should Americans own homes when they can pay rent to rich oligarchs?

You mean its going to make house ownership more affordable and stop filling the wallets of buliders, realtors and lenders? That is terrible. Big Blue states may have to adjust. Poor babies.

I thought it only affects houses 750k and up?
-
That's correct. This article is BS. As a Realtor, I have never once had a person buy a home because of the tax credits.

How will this impact property taxes, which are key for cities and counties, if less people own houses?
-
property owners will still pay property taxes, but the taxes will come from owners of rental properties rather than individual resident owners.
-
But if less people own properties then the tax base shrinks.
-
The properties are still owned by someone, just not the person living in them. Like a real estate investment company
